Disable Email Reports

After clicking on Profile -> Reports -> Run Report, the system sends an email copy of an Excel file containing the report detail. There is a security concern around having this plain XLS file sent over email. The same data is available for download via SSL on the site itself, which is secure. Can we disable the email piece of functionality or make it optional?
